If you want to sell products, my suggestion is to sell electronic information products instead of physical products (e.g. books, tin cans). Information products could be program downloads or an ebook. Information products do not require packaging and handling, and you can earn money overnight. Websites that sell information products run on autopilot. Autopilot is a fancy term meaning that you can leave your website for 5 years and come back to find that it has been providing an automatic income.

Now, complete a little exercise. Search the term 'used cars' on Google. On the top right, my search says (Results 1 - 10 of about 234,000,000). That's quite a bit of competition! This is why you would want to focus on a niche for your product. A niche is a hole in the market you can profitably fill. There could be something in your industry that has a high demand but not enough supply.

For example, have you ever heard of the ebook that helps you take care of your iguana? It doesn't sound likely, but consider how many people love iguanas and you'll understand why this ebook became popular. You'd better believe these people will do anything in their power to prolong their pet's life. This website is called Iguana Secrets.

You do not have to sell a product in order to earn money with a website. Many people, like the creator of 2CreateAWebsite.com, earn money by placing Google Adsense advertisements on their website. Each time someone clicks on one of these advertisements, the webmaster receives a commission. This is another excellent way to earn money as you don't have to do any packaging and handling, and you don't need to worry about customer service.
